has anyone else been a fairly heavy smoker and then stopped and then after about 3-4 days without smoking start coughing up some gross shit or.. just me 🌚 it happens every time and I’m assuming it’s just normal and my lungs cleaning themselves out finally but it’s weird and gross and so consistent lol. always after like 3-4 days and then it lasts a few days or a week.

in other news I finally decided to stop smoking at home 👍 sick of paying for it, sick of coughing and all the gross stuff that goes along w it, gonna be in grad dorms and don’t want to disrupt w that loud loud and/or ruin my opportunities bc I got in trouble for it or smth. Saving tons of money already it’s wild. I just want to go back to smoking socially and not in my house constantly 😞👍

I wanted to share my thoughts on what the next focus events could be for arc enders, while also asking you what you think is going to happen if you haven’t already

L/n: I’m honestly at a loss as to what the next event has in store for us. I definitely think it’s an Ichika focus (though I’ve seen people speculate it’s Shiho), but I’m not sure what they could do. Maybe enter a recording label to increase their audience? (Haven’t read Get Over It. yet so maybe I’m missing a part of the puzzle)

VBS: most likely a Toya event, I want to see him get mad. Like full blown anger from him. He was absolutely livid in Light Up the Fire as seen from his card, so I just want him to absolutely go apeshit. Worst part is that he doesn’t have the best relationship with adult figures so the parallels with his father are there. Maybe they’ll also try to reunite with Kotaro etc? VBS has a lot on its plate after the truth bomb regarding Nagi, that’s for sure

WxS: I mean. I’m pretty sure we all know it’s indirectly confirmed to be a Rui event. And this one is most definitely addressing the disbanding of the unit. Since he’s the one most worried about it, I think it makes sense he started the arc with Farewell at the Curtain Call and now gets to end it with a conclusion that will affect the group one way or another

N25: also somewhat obvious we’re getting a Mafuyu event from the teaser, this one is surely going to address what’s on all of our minds: is she going to run away? Our Escape for Survival has definitely set me on edge so I can’t wait to see how the story plays out

Oh yeah I’ve been thinking so hard about the arc enders the past few weeks so here goes nothing

L/n: They actually got signed at the end of Get Over It. It was right at the end of chapter 8 though, so I reckon the event will be taking the first steps as pros, especially considering this was their main goal up until this point. Like how at the end of Re-tie Friendship MMJ decided to change course, and then STEP by STEP was about them actually leaving.

VBS: Toya definitely. You can work it out by MV distribution. I think this will be a getting the band back together sort of story, considering that all the side characters left in LUTF and BAD DOGS interact with the side characters more. In his last event, Toya became good friends with Souma, and considering how Taiga crushed Arata’s ambition using Souma, I wouldn’t be surprised if those two were in it a lot. I hope Kotaro gets a good resolution too after his breakdown in LUTF.

WxS: Okay I have actually spoken about this one but I’ll do it again because I’m very invested in the current WxS arc. I originally thought this would be an Emu event mainly because WxS really needs to shuffle their event order but considering we now know it will be an arc ender no way it’s not Rui. At the end of Canary in a Quagmire he says that he thinks he’s worked out a way for them to all pursue their dreams together, which. The fact that Tsukasa and Nene want to go abroad and Emu wants to stay home already kinda messes with that concept sorry Rui. WxS is very special to him because he’s never had close friends before and doesn’t want to lose it (he literally refers to it as his home in Island Panic) and I think this event will be a bittersweet slaps in the face of reality that they can’t just stay together forever. 👍 also I really want him to spill that Asahi invited him to join ArcLand (aw yeah conflict)

N25: The fucking puppet from her first event man. The puppet triggered Mafuyu in Captive Marionette because she saw herself in it - everything in her life was puppeteered by her mother. And the curtain closing? I’m not sure if she’ll actually run away, but I think she’s going to confront her mother herself. I think Mafuyu is finally more ready to confront that her mother is the problem and is controlling her every move and I want to see her at least try to break free of it.

Let’s Study Hard is so peak... Incredible mizuki and an moments. Mizuki/Rui enjoying themselves at school. Akito is in hell (always funny). Toya consistently being hysterical. All the card stories are fantastic. Tsukasa fail moment. Nene is even there for a little bit. Kamiyama crew my beloveds.

+ I want an emu/tsukasa/minori/saki/kanade event so badly… I think putting kanade in an event with 4 people who genuinely do not have an off switch is the funniest idea ever.

+ I also really want an event with the leaders.

+ an emu/airi/mizuki/Luka/saki event (pink gang)

+ or a toya/shiho/nene/kanade/niigo kaito event where there’s like. 3 words said. They all just Vibe.

+ an event with tsukasa/shizuku/an/akito (+ any other character who is competent just not like. Academically.) where they have to do a trivia competition or some other intellectual event & it’s shaking up to be a huge flop but they all pull through with their different areas of knowledge

+ rui sleeps curled up like a cat, Tsukasa sleeps sprawled out like a star fish, emu clings onto whatever’s closest when she sleeps, and nene sleeps on her back with her arms folded over her chest like a corpse.

+ I saw someone say they had the hc that tsukasa chose his room because he likes to see/hear that other people are home and that stuck with me

+ emu is scary capable of starting a long conversation with anyone like she’s incredibly good at figuring out what you’re interested in/can ramble about and asking you questions about it. This actually has basis in canon but I like to remind people.

+ I think I’ve talked abt it on here before but I think tsukasa having a fictional character crush on the normal virtual singer kaito when he was younger & not realizing it is an incredibly funny idea. He’s like “yeah idk why I just used to really like the character. Whatever (doesn’t analyze this further even when the wxs sekai manifests).” Wxs Kaito knows this but he’s not saying shit because it’s not relevant anymore but it DOES make him side eye tsukasa incredibly hard whenever tsukasa is like “these must be normal best friend feelings I’m feeling towards rui.”

+ technically rin and len being twins is a head canon but I’m sorry that’s so stupid they’re twins to me

+ nene experiences gamer rage. Wxs operate under the assumption that she doesn’t really get Super Angry until they’re at her house and see her die to a boss in a fromsoft game/fail a platforming section for the 30th time and she’s Seething.

+ mmj could survive if they got stranded in the wilderness. Would they make it back to civilization though? Only if they don’t trust shizuku with directions.

I think I say my hot takes often & without any restraint so it’s hard to throw one out that I haven’t mentioned before uhh

+ fanbase has a misogyny problem. Who’s shocked (no one). Not even a hot take but I see a lot of people get mad when this is said like. please look up what an implicit bias is.

+ I don’t trust people who only talk about tsukasa with any character takes (including ones about tsukasa they straight up Do Not Get Him) because they’re incapable of viewing other characters outside of their relationship to him. I also don’t trust them in general & find them irritating. & this is coming from someone who talks abt him a lot.

+ you Need To Interact With The Canon Text because if you rely solely on how the fanbase portrays characters you’re going to walk away with the completely wrong characterization. Also the stories are good so you should really be doing that anyways.

+ actually very unhelpful and irritating to reduce female characters down to like one trait and then pretend you’re a fan of them bc 90% of the time the trait is wrong. Nene for example I see so many bad takes on because people think she’s a girl boss (???) 24/7 hater (??????) who never says anything nice about her friends (??????????)

Today was good! I’m a little overwhelmed!

3:30 am posting because I’m feeling slightly wound thanks to today being a whole day, but it wasn’t a bad day?

Short version: bunch of appointments, thankfully all online, but after last week being stress central this was tolerable. I got my MMJ eval and it was quick and easy and if anything I over prepared because I’m so used to not being believed and having to back myself up with data. (Which I have to gather and keep for myself because medicine is apparently just a free for all where no one communicates with each other through the online app they have specifically so they can all access data about me from each other! Neat!)

Anyway that was a major relief and I was ready to cry because they said that this should work really well with the conditions and symptoms I have. I’ll probably write something up on the process later (because I would’ve liked a plain English walkthrough of what to expect but that’s ok) but I got my card from the state, which is all digital now, so welcome to the future, I guess.

We headed out to a pretty well reviewed and priced medical dispensary in the area and had a long info session on what would work best for me and landed on some low dose (for now) capsules and gummies. Then we got fried chicken because I’d had enough for one day and went home to see if it would work.

I took a capsule, ate my chicken, and waited. They did advise taking it with a fatty food (could’ve been peanut butter or avocado or anything really; we just got chicken for its uh, health…improving….properties….yeah that sounds right) It took like a solid hour and change to notice anything, and the effects were pretty minor.

I kept trying to explain what was happening to Delade but it was a very subtle thing and hard to get across. Basically the calmest I’ve felt in ages (bonus) and like a slight tiredness, like when you’re tired at the end of the day but not exhausted or like drugged tired if you take something to get to sleep and it hits hard. Just a nice soft calm feeling.

I got brave and tried adding in an extra half a gummy (watermelon flavor!) and that hit much more quickly and mostly just added to the soft feeling. Trying to put it in better words, it was like the different between laying directly on the hard floor, or laying on a puffy blanket on the floor. You can still feel the floor, but it’s much more comfortable than otherwise. I didn’t really feel particularly loopy other than finding a few things funnier than they probably actually were. I think I would compare it in drowsiness more to like…if you’ve been given an opioid after surgery or dental work or something, it’s kind of more like that than feeling just knocked right out. I always felt like these kinds of things gave me a sort of “cozy,” safe feeling while still being conscious enough to do some light things, and this was similar. Everybody’s different though so I might be a weirdo.

So yeah, it does work! I wasn’t expecting like a 100% change in pain levels, and this will definitely take some fine tuning to get right, but there was a difference for sure. I had the makings of a nasty headache after being stressed out all afternoon, which didn’t seem affected much by anything I took so that’s interesting. If I hadn’t had the headache I probably would have attempted some comic work but staring directly into a screen felt like a bad idea. In any case the sharp edges of the pain in the rest of my body got filed way down and I’m pretty amazed overall.

I know this can work now! So I can try again tomorrow! Hopefully with less stress headache so I can get a better gauge on how it actually feels! And hopefully try to draw.

So now I just have to figure out how not to feel weird about this talking to various doctors. Some recommended it, some I can imagine being less positive, but I think the anxiety about being judged is mostly in my head.

Anyway! It was a good experience overall, both the process for getting the card and actually trying the drug itself. If it’s something you’ve been looking into and have questions I can try and answer based on my (admittedly brief) experience so far. I only know how things work in NY, but being pretty anxious I get how it can feel more enormous to figure out when you don’t know the whole scope of a thing or what it’s like to actually do.

This entire thing makes me cackle btw because in fifth grade I won some DARE essay contest in school and I think got some kind of gift card I spent on art supplies, and a hat with the DARE lion mascot thing on it, which I think I still have and should probably start wearing for maximum dumbassery.

tiering in project sekai is so stressful but at least

-i’m tiering for a more more jump event which is already one of the less popular units (they deserve popularity but in this case i’m not complaining)

-said event is also between an extremely hyped limited event featuring the two most popular units + an event about one of the most popular characters

-i’ve pulled 4 four stars with one more guaranteed at 50 pulls (i’m at 46 as of writing this!) including the event meiko, which is one of my favorite cards ever !!

-it being a mmj event means a lot of mmj fans are in co-op and are choosing good songs!!

-i get to make a cute custom profile to show off my title when the event is over

-i’ve come to terms it’s pretty impossible to reach the top 100 at this point so i’m fine with tiering in the top 1k-5k range

You Gotta Find What Works For You

WAIT…DECEMBER?!?! ALREADY?!?! Wow, for such a dumpster fire of a year, at least 2020 is having the decency of not dragging its feet on the way out. 😜

So there have been some changes since my last blog. While Lexapro took the edge off of my anxiety symptoms at first (and got rid of my hot-flashes, bonus! 🙌🏻), the symptoms started getting worse again after about a month. In October, my GYN and I decided to up my dose to 10mg and my anxiety symptoms once again improved, but after a couple of weeks my husband and I noticed that I wasn’t eating very much. After a short Google search, I discovered that loss of appetite is one of the possible side effects of Lexapro. And while this is a side effect that some may jokingly welcome, those who know me know I’ve ALWAYS been on the thin side, so a few weeks of not being able to eat caused an unwelcome weight drop. I had another appointment with my GYN in November and we decided to go back to 5mg. My appetite returned but I began noticing that I was feeling really hyper, like I just downed 4 Cuban coffees hyper. Well guess what! Yep, that’s another possible side effect. So I’ve been working on weening off of the Lexapro (and caffeine). I’m on week 1 of no meds and the “brain zaps” have decided to kick in (for those who don’t know, it’s the occasional feeling of your brain “stuttering” along with some vertigo…fun! 😜).

To continue managing my anxiety symptoms, along with not drinking alcohol (and switching from coffee to tea), I’ve been working on meditation, restorative yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises), and energy medicine. I have also been researching alternative treatments and decided to try CBD and medical marijuana to manage the spikes in anxiety. I am fortunate enough to live in a MMJ state and have a card for osteoarthritis that is in my hands, elbows, and neck (x-rays showed NONE in my hips, knees, and ankles for all my “you’ll ruin your knees with all that running” friends 😉). It’s so much safer than tramadol and easier on the stomach than NSAIDs and ibuprofen.

So I’ve been trying different strains to find what works for me. So far it has been especially helpful in the wee hours of the night when the room is really quiet and my brain is VERY LOUD! And for those who are thinking that I’m running around “high” all the time now, there are many MMJ strains that are low in THC and high in CBD so they don’t get you “high”, plus they don’t send you into “I don’t care” land like Xanax and Valium. It’s also quite helpful when one of your anxiety symptoms is trouble eating…especially when you’re a self professed foodie! 😉

A big part of working through this season of life for me is listening to my body, my feelings, and my brain…and full disclosure of my symptoms, what I’ve tried, what’s worked for me, what hasn’t…some of you might think it’s great and it may even encourage you to do more research for your own reasons……and others of you won’t like it, but that’s OK…there are things that you all do that I don’t like either, but I still love you. 😘 #PeaceLoveAndJesus✌🏻❤️🙏🏻 #SearchingForStillness #BeStill #Peri-Menopause #Anxiety #MMJ #Arthritis

shizuku is my fave out of MMJ because a) she’s soooo pretty b) i love her hair colour and c) her voice. i am obsessed with her voice. she’s just,,, effortless, and less high energy than minori and airi and haruka. she’s perfect. idk

i fucking hate akito lmao. i think his style is ugly + his voice is ugly + He is ugly. like i just. he’s got no redeeming qualities. i’ve also had some experiences with akito fictives that have been very scary and upsetting and that does not help

i also just think. tsukasa’s voice is ugly. i like him a biiiit more than akito cause he’s sort of cute sometimes and a good brother but he’s also just like. so fucking loud and annoying and i also don’t like his voice lmao

i hate ena because she fucking annoys me and i don’t know why. her fans are always rabid so they give her a bad rep by association. she was always my least favourite out of niigo but i’m gonna be honest it’s all association with my hatred of her…. had some neg experiences with an ena fan so ena just makes me think of them and then i get upset. but even before that i didn’t see the appeal in her. she’s cute, i guess, but her voice is kinda annoying and she’s sort of a bitch

Since it’s #420 #today I wanted to share with you all that ten years ago if it wasn’t for cannabis I wouldn’t have made it to my 26th birthday! That was ten years ago this year! After I got home from that dr/hospital a friend made me try cannabis for the first time during a seizure I was having. Moments after my seizure stopped my pain lessened. It has been the only thing that stops my seizures, reduces my pain levels to ones I can actually breathe through and allows my to eat sleep and walk. When I was on all those doctor prescribed meds I never was able to say that. Since then I wrote 7 books, acted in several films/shows, made my own feature film, have been a guest at conventions, made incredible memories with so many of you, & never gave up on my dreams. Yes I still have Fibromyalgia, C-PTSD, Epilepsy, Anxiety disorder, and more but instead of giving in I keep fighting and moving forward towards accomplishing as much as I can. As it says on my ankle “Live Strong! Never give up!” Cannabis saved my life & changed my life for the best. I went from a brain that was severally damaged to the level of an autistic child and a body that wasn’t able to function nor able to walk. I was always nauseous from the extreme pain levels. Now with cannabis those times are just true horror stories I’ve been able to survive and overcome! I got my medical marijuana card the other day. I forgot if I posted about it on here or not already. Since I was 15 I’ve been waiting to be able to use cannabis legally in New Jersey. I honestly never thought it would happen though. When I was younger I planned on moving to California to be able to get a medical marijuana card. I actually did get one in California at age 16 or 17 when I was on vacation there visiting my aunt and uncle. It’s actually a funny story.

I applied for a California ID card with my uncle’s address, and got a temporary slip that said I had applied for it. Since they wouldn’t be able to give me the card while I was on vacation because I was only going to be there for a week or two. I brought this to a medical marijuana doctor with my aunt, who kept claiming she was my mother (she’s not even technically my aunt since her and my uncle are divorced) and the mmj doctor bought it. I think as long as I had had an adult there with me, this doctor wouldn’t have cared though. I just had to pay $100 and it was only one appointment I had to go to to get the card.

I didn’t even have to lie to this doctor at all, because at the time I was in agonizing pain everyday and could barely walk or do anything without cannabis. I had been given a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, and that ended up being enough even though I had almost no proof of my diagnosis with me. I remember being really high on edibles when I went to see this doctor, and I actually ended up crying a lot. Tsukasa in a crisis is Always Hysterical (also why I like his untrained Phoenix/3rd year/doll festival* cards) but I think I’ve said [insert untrained pandemonium card] while talking abt tsukasa 100 times (which I got from you) because it’s never not funny. The gokart card is just really cute I love rui’s dumb expression and the fact that he’s too goddamn tall for this ride/the pure joy on emu’s face as she turns her car directly into rui presumably in an attempt to run him off the road (I support it). But the best part of it is 100% nene being a girl failure in the back like how did you fuck up so badly. Do not let her behind the wheel of a car ever. The expression of gamer rage on her face… her mario kart skills did not transfer over… she’s pissed. 10/10.

I went into this on a little downer because of how disappointing my afternoon show (Dansui) was (see review here). And it didn’t help that I was super worried about 15 minutes before the show started because there was still no one in the first row and there were only like 20 people in the entire theatre! But somehow the last 5 minutes just everyone came in and it was full! Thank god...

NON-SPOILER REVIEW:

Overall: This is so funny you guys! I was LOUD laughing because it was so funny, I couldn’t keep it to polite girly laughing I was laughing HARD. I was cry-laughing at at least one part too. I didn’t think they could step it up all that much but I underestimated them and the Saien is just as amazing as the first run! While I don’t quite accept the new actor for Banri Chouji, everyone else did amazing. Especially Reo! He was the shiner in this stage for me <3 he really impressed me. It’s entertaining, ridiculous, very funny and I cannot wait for the second stage to begin! Rating: 8-8.5/10

SPOILER REVIEW:

I was sat on my own for at least the first 20 minutes too on either side of me. AND I was second row which didn’t help! xD I of course had an amazing view >.<

Also Reo had so many freaking flowers in the foyer! He ahd the most! I didn’t realise how POPULAR he was! =O

Luckily JP had some too so he wasn’t left out <3

ANYWAY! Onto the review with spoilers...

First some general comments about the play:

Seriously, I died of laughter watching this. I had already seen the first stage last year and had watched it on dvd a few times so I was convinced I wasn’t going to really laugh, but oh boy, oh boy I was wrong! I was laughing so hard that I cried at some parts. Luckily there were guys in the audience so I could laugh more naturally and loudly than I usually do in a theatre full of 2.5 Fangirls and to be honest I don’t think I could’ve kept quiet because of how hard I was laughing, so the men’s deep and loud laughter helped cover mine a bit. I could not hold it back xD lets look at some comedy scenes:

JP’s blue bottle coffee segment was back this time around! And I laughed just as hard as I did the first time! It’s such a good scene! I love it.

We also have Snake who has a romantic storyline going on and seeing him go all mushy and soft when she came into the scene was so funny and disgustingly cute.

The table tennis scene was back and was hilarious as usual. I LOVE this scene and I LOVE how Reo played a slightly different tennis supporter compared to what Ikkei did in the first run of this show. Reo was hilarious in this scene. He came on with angel wings and had this constantly little jump going on. It was funny. And then at the end after the captured Crocodile, Reo got his angel wings stuck as he got into the rope-made jail train/bus towards the end of the play xD

The lady at the beginning of the show this time was more abusive. She tries to get the audience to call the Konchuugers for help but we were super quiet and weak and she was like ‘you being fucking serious? YELL!’ xD

This time around also when they explained how the Konchuugers evolved, they used picture cards and when Tokiwa was trying to explain why he didn’t change and why he woke up first, he brought out some picture cards too.

They redid the pulling pegs off the poor actors nipples again! As soon as JP walked on stage with the actor I immediately put my hand over my mouth and was shaking my head and then just before they pulled the pegs, I put my hands over my eyes and looked away.

The Crocodile was hilarious this time because he just stood there while making ripples with either his pecs or his stomach muscles and it got the audience giggling hard.

Unfortunately this time around they cut out some of Maasa’s singing scenes. They were funny. They did it once with Saito and Kazuki which was funny though.

Okay now lets get to some actor/character break downs:

Moto Fuyuki as Tokiwa Sou: He was great as usual. Not much change to his character this time around BUT he had a fighting scene where he started it by cartwheeling off the higher stage and onto the lower stage and everyone in the crowd was like ‘woah!’ because he did it so damn well despite his older age. He was badass on the guitar again as usual. There’s also a scene where he was talking seriously but because he had a dog teddy in his hand which he was petting as if it was real, I was too busy giggling at that.

Ebisawa Kenji as Banri Chouji: Unfortunately,  I don’t like this guy who’s replaced Baba Ryoma. Sorry! I just feel Ebisawa had to try too hard. It felt very forced and like he was using too much energy. Baba is always able to have loads of energy but also appear and look very effortless while using that energy. I feel like Ebisawa was struggling to keep so upbeat and energetic. He wasn’t terrible but very different to what Baba gave us the first time around. Hopefully in the second stage he can make the character his own and have room to stretch now that he won’t be compared to Baba in the second stage.

Saito Shuusuke as Eiffel Thomas: As usual pretty as fuuuuck. He is flawless both in acting and in looks. He was so close to me that I died inside a lot. I really enjoy is character anyway because he’s so ridiculous. He’s this self-centered, showman who used to be a model. Also has sexual tension going on with Asuka and their dynamic is really great too!

Shimizu Kazuki as Taajima Haruo: Ise Daiki originally did this role but Shimizu took over this time (although it looks like both Ise AND Shimizu have been cast for the second stage AND neither of them will be playing Haruo(?!) so god knows how that’s going to work xD but I’m excited to find out!). I’ve only ever seen Shimizu do similar roles; someone who gets scared easily, a little clumsy and unaware of just how strong and powerful he is: this character was the same. I do like that he’s bee themed though and his costume is great and Shimizu really understand how to play cute, so he was good ^_^

Sudo Maasa as Sakurada ‘Familia’ Asuka: I am anoteher girl crush.. it’s Suda Maasa. She’s great. She’s pretty. She has amazing hair. She’s super lady-like as herself (wait for my Sakuratsubute review with her in), and I love her character and the costume. She’s a great character and actress. Like I said in Saito’s section; I love Sakurada and Thomas’ sexual tension and dynamic in this stage and I hope it continues in the second stage! Also in this Saien I feel like they made their clash more dramatic. This time around I feel Sakurada really stands up to Thomas and they have a real, meaty argument which I enjoyed.

Hondo Reo as Young Tokiwa Sou: This guy impressed me so much in this stage!! He brought so much freshness to the character while also keeping the character the same, but at the same timed made it so different to what Ikkei did! In fact, I think he did better than Ikkei! Reo was a good balance of pitiful and cute! He had a scene where he was a scaredy cat and spoke in a quivering sort of voice which was very very hilarious and then in the table tennis scene he was this hilarious tennis angel type role. I cannot give him justice in this review at how impressed I am with him! I haven’t seen Reo act since he left Tenimyu so it’s safe to say I don’t know his range (never doubted his skills in acting) but seeing him in this and just loving his character and loving the hilarious and sad parts he did. He definitely got me teary-eyed during his final scene as Tokiwa Sho, more than Ikkei did, because he’s just so helpless and he completely makes the mood sad and depressing. He did amazing you guys... just amazing. Shame he can’t come back in the second stage =[ OH! During the table tennis scene also, Itakura held up a GIANT table tennis racket and on the back it was a GIANT picture of Reo’s face which they only showed towards the end of the scene and it was so funny! Cannot wait to see that part on DVD. Seriously guys, Reo is an amazing actor!

Itakura Takeshi as Joe: He did amazing the first time and he did amazing this time too! I think he had more hilarity and adlibs this time. The scenes he had with Reo were all great!

Mitsuma Kohei as Konchuuger’s Boss: I don’t think there was much change to his character. But I did enjoy when the dog teddy got left on his cheese grator hand (he had a daikon and a cheese grator instead of hands at the ends of his arms) and he had to balance it as he walked off stage xD

Ozeki Riku as Turtle: Ozeki is another that impressed me and did better than his predecessor! Ozeki really brought the turtle out in Turtle. He was VERY turtle like/ One scene that got me laughing hard is when he tries to attack Taajima and Taajima knocks him onto his back and Ozeki, being a turtle, struggles rolling off his back so he can get back up. He’s just like ‘legs in the air’ like a turtle would be. It was very funny. He also had a part where one of the Konchuugers inspire him to make youtube videos instead of being a bad guy and some times he whips his camera out and Snake Shougun is like ‘what the HELL are you doing?! You can’t upload our schemes onto the internet! Get real boy!’ xD Ozeki also impressed me in the previous MMJ Production ‘Wakasamagumi’ (see review here) so I hope he continues to be with MMJ in productions for a little longer. *googles* He IS in the next Konchuuger with JP again so that’s great at least! ^_^

Yasukawa Junpei as Chameleon: JP... JP, JP, JP. I don’t know HOW he does it but he just revels in strange and hentai-like characters. I’m at a stage (<< pun intended) where I am so used to JP’s acting style that I know what facial feature and stuff he’s going to do and still I love his performances! His facial features alone in this stage are hilarious! And he got to redo his Blue Bottle coffee joke! But he also had extra comedic scenes. For example, when his team are in the Chinese restaurant trying to come up with a plan to defeat the Konchuugers, they run out of so many ideas that JP takes his phone out and goes ‘HEY SIRI! How do we defeat someone?!’ it was SO funny and Snake Shougun is immediately like ‘put that phone away!’ xD also his character kept his part English part Japanese lines so I enjoyed those a lot. Another scene I loved was when Snake Shougun is just so done with JP’s awful ideas that he wants to get his time back, so JP suggests they “go back in time” which just literally means they ‘rewind’ the conversation which was hilarious. which THEN leads JP to ask Snake ‘are you bad with boobs?’ and Snake Shougun is like ‘what’s that got to do with defeating the Konchuugers?!’ WTF?! But alas this is the JP I’m so used and so love. He always seems to do hentai-y roles and I want him to carry on doing them! So glad his character is back in Konchuuger 2! Cannot wait to see more Half-English discussions and ridiculous ideas from him xD

Kadoshima Mio as Tokage: I’m pretty sure they changed the actress on this one. But I still love her story line. She’s very much a ‘I have good ideas but you won’t listen to me because I’m a girl’ to which Snake Shougun is like ‘NO! I’m just going in member number order!’ yet she has great ideas. I also love she has this WEIRD romantic love story with the Goat member of the group (currently cannot find the actors name) and just seeing their relationship grow, especially during the table tennis scene, is hilarious to watch because they are a very opposite pairing. 

The Goat guy himself is very funny too because he just moans and has no confidence and cries all the time because he can’t do anything right xD

Okuda Tsutomu as Snake Shougun: I’ve already mentioned him a LOT in JP’s section so what I wanted to say about him has gone there. I really love this character and the actors performance for Snake! I love how this time around they gave him a romantic plotline too, but I already spoke about it. I enjoy this actors performance overall and cannot wait to see him in action again as Snake in the second stage!

So I knid started freaking out because being in the second row meant I’d be one of the first to handshake and let me just say: SAITO!!!  SAITO!!!! *dead* so I was pretty nervous but they were all very nice. So I got to handshake Moto Fuyuki, Ebisawa Kenji, Saito Shuusuke, Shimizu Kazuki and Sudo Maasa! I think the order went (Right - Left): Moto, Kazuki, Asuka, Saito, Ebisawa. Everyone gave great handshakes except Saito! He only does one handers! I mean I still got a handshake but come on! Two hander! He does look the type to be a germ-a-phobe though. Maasa gave a great handshake... and she’s so pretty.... lets get away from my new girl crush! Kazuki was super smiley and nice too ^_^

My Boss the Scam Artist

 I figure the best place to start writing memoir is from the back. So let me show you the back half of my story.

My grandfather died on New Year’s Day. I went home for the first time in two years for the funeral. I saw my father for the first time in ten years. Not that I hadn’t already been kind of a big smoker, but from the time I left Kalamazoo to go north until just a few days ago, I’ve been pretty much high non-stop. Some of it was good and fun bonding with my uncle, who can’t smoke much because of his job, and my little brother, who is an MRA and possibly the angriest MMJ patient I’ve ever known. A lot of it was me toking up by myself every few hours. To be perfectly honest, if I hadn’t taken that job working for my friend’s fledgling law office, I’d be baked now, not writing this memoir, and my rent would be paid.

When we first met, my employer-to-be was a prostitute. She worked under the name of Sophie St. Clair, servicing the men of Kalamazoo to pay her way through law school. She was also my primary source of marijuana. I used to come visit, smoke and watch Game of Thrones with her, and duck into the kitchen when a gentleman came to call. She had two kids, a live-in partner who was super chill but had a nasty temper and scared the shit out of her kids. Fun to smoke with though, fascinating human being. The kids were pretty cool too. They weren’t super verbal, but they were toddlers, so it’s to be expected. Over the next year of knowing Sophie they grew into awesome little kids, and I would begin to learn how messed up things were.

Sophie was smoking quite a bit of pot until she started actually working in law, then she transitioned to harder drugs with much shorter half-lives. I never realized the extent of her drug use, but only because I was in my own head too much and ignored the obvious signs of very serious addiction. I also understood having an opiate problem. I had watch my mom struggle with her addiction to prescription pain-killers following several hospital stays complete with very regular administrations of morphine. Sophie had been a veteran and was badly wounded in Iraq, so her replacement parts caused her a great deal of pain. She had gotten addicted to morphine and transitioned to heroin when the VA cut her off, as it was cheaper than pharmaceutical drugs. She had borrowed, as well as stolen, several hundred dollars from me. It all culminated in my paying an electric bill for her and then having her ghost on me, moving a few times, business, rehab, what have you.  After rehab she’s still hooking, and she’s smoking crack now, but I never saw her injecting drugs again. Progress, I figure. I introduce her to my roomies because we play D&D and I want to provide her with some social support so she can stay clean and happy. Sometime around the holidays I meet her new assistant, who does not remain her assistant long, leaving after he learned of her prostitution days, taking the dog with him. Enter Rain, grieving my grandfather, smoking too much, and desperately needing a distraction other than my single graduate class.

So it started normally enough, I was given some tasks and we had a lot of boring lawyer talk. I made my own contract on RocketLawyer and did W4 and insurance. Her retainer accounts were apparently messed up however, so I needed to cover some retainers to keep handling business. No big deal, I have some cash from student loans and can loan my lawyer friend some money, it’s in my contract that I get reimbursed for out-of-pocket costs. Her daughter gets a bad urinary tract infection and her ex hits her up for money to take care of it, which I agree to because I adore her children and want them well and happy.

We have to cancel our first business trip because of an unreliable driver (she isn’t allowed to drive because of seizures related to a TBI), and then a client who fucked up really bad and got locked up. Steadily and surely our trips get canceled, I wonder why I ever try to plan anything with her, and I keep smoking to deal with the stress that she’s causing me.

Then she started getting sick. Frequent seizures, general tiredness, bad shit. She had some scans done, there was a shadow on the scan, which upon biopsy would turn out to be a malignant tumor pressing on her TBI. A month goes by, I’ve loaned her money without a scrap of repayment, much less my wages. She’s sleeping on my couch with my youngest roommate, who has taken it upon himself to look after her health. They’re also fucking. It’s sort of cute, so I enjoy it for a bit. We keep doing lawyer things, I am suspicious but not enough to not continue going along with it all. Eventually, my accounts are drained. That’s when I notice a lack of documents coming my way and she’s started doing her lawyer talk stuff with her nursemaid. Every time I mention to her that she owes me 10k she says I’m next in line, she’s being hit up by everybody and has these medical bills and all. Predictably, she is never able to go out and get me my money or to go to the office to pick up the mail with my bar card and insurance information. She says her colleague Mark was going to drop it off, but then got stuck in Detroit helping sort out the travel ban, which was among my early work for her and a cause that I care about very deeply as a person of faith.

As of today two months have passed. I am unpaid. She is still on my couch, fucking my roommate. By this point I had started to shake off the haze and bothered to do some research. My active mourning period had mostly ended, or at least paused. My partner has been immensely helpful to me. She’s a student, an activist, and worthy of far more respect than I afford her due to her age and experience. She happened to meet Mark (the very same) at a meeting regarding the creation of a new county ID (we’re a sanctuary city, so the county is creating identification cards to help refugees and immigrants get around more easily). They had the chance to talk and as it turns out my boss has never been a lawyer. This disturbs me greatly, as I realize I don’t have a signed contract because of reasons. First it was a lost file, then it was her just never getting around to it, so I had asked my partner to print off a couple of copies so I can just make my “boss” sign. She claims to need her notary stamp, which brings us to the meeting. My partner had the good fortune to not interact much with Sara and brought fresh eyes and a sober mind to my life. She found that super sketchy and made a point of helping me when I wasn’t sure how to help myself or sort out what I believed about anything or anybody. Nobody is objective about their partners, but it’s nice that she’s better at addressing my suffering than I am. What she learned from Mark was that Sophie had worked with him once on an assignment in law school and then proceeded to throw his name around a lot. He was also never stuck in Detroit helping out refugees, she did not rent the office space next to his, and he’s really tired of having people call up to ask about her. Upon further research we determined that the registration number she gave me belongs to a lawyer with a very low internet profile a few towns away, and I had never bothered to look into it until now. It was fairly clear that I needed to force a signature and begin preparing to take action.

Thursday, March 16, Sophie told us her five year-old daughter had just died. I loved this child like one of those friends your kid calls auntie or uncle but actually isn’t. The thing is, I’d begun to suspect something was up with the kids for a while. I messaged a friend who had been ripped off by her, who told me to message the children’s grandmother, who could answer my questions for me. I was then contacted by the children’s stepmother, who very angrily informed me that the children are secure and happy, with parents who love them. She shamed her/us for having the nerve to intrude into their lives with Sophie’s scams and lies, that she had plenty of chances to get her shit together and be a mom to the kids. That it was her choice to be a hooker and abuse heroin. That the police keep coming to her home trying to arrest Sophie, that she’d received a letter from the Sheriff stating that she’d jumped bail too many times and would remain in jail until trial, and that if she ever wanted to leave Kalamazoo forever, this would be a damned good time. Then she promptly severed the line of communication and I was unable to reply. Today I sent a message to her husband to thank him and assure him I’d do what needs to be done. I assured him that Sophie had not been using my Facebook to access photos of the kids for one of her schemes, that I had been burned by her to the tune of 8-10k, and all I needed was answers. He asked for her new phone number, just to try to keep tabs on her. I gave it, and he began to answer my questions.

He told me she has around six active warrants for her arrest, and some waiting for her back in California. One of them for prostitution, one for impersonation of a court official, three theft warrants (one being for guns), and one for failure to pay child-support. He also told me she was never in the Marines, and that her hips are 100% real and made of bones growing in her body. He told me they split because the Sheriff picked her up and took her to prison in another state. That the “rape” (quotations his) she had blamed the dissolution of their relationship on had occurred when she got released and started turning tricks down there. He told me she’s got a teenage kid somewhere in Arizona, and that this isn’t the first or even the second time she has pretended one of her kids had died so she could run a new scam on somebody.

Hours later, an old friend visited. We’ll call her Alyssa. She had overdone it one night and struck a housemate in drunken rage. Police were called. She went to jail. She just got out today and she’s not allowed in her house while the housemate is still living there. She had contacted Sophie for help with the situation. The moment she and Sophie had stepped outside to talk I immediately informed her partner that Sophie was not a lawyer and that Sophie’s daughter had not died. He seemed puzzled, but also like he’d expected to find out that Sophie was a fraud. I shared as much as I could before they returned inside. Alyssa’s partner told me about her situation and that she didn’t have a place to go at the moment. I offered my bed should she require it, and he went to retrieve some things from the house and bring her an overnight bag. Shortly after he left I retreated downstairs while Sophie and Alyssa talked. I began to hear powerful weeping and realized that Sophie was telling Alyssa about her daughter. I bit my tongue while waiting for an opportunity, which arrived shortly. Alyssa joined me in my bedroom and we talked. I told her what I knew and showed her what I had gathered. I told her of my plans to file a police report after the holiday weekend (St. Patrick’s Day, I expect the police to be processing drunks through Sunday, so finding time to meet me for paperwork seems unlikely).
